After shopping his project for years Chris was finally introduced to the Wootens in Los Angeles at an awards show. They exchanged numbers and began the process of discussing Believe—culminating in a 13-song collection of up-tempos, mids and inspirational ballads that highlight Bolton's rich vocals and penchant for strong melodies. Highlights include the first single, "I Say, You Say," which is gradually generating more and more airplay; the praise and party joints "Y'All Don't Know," "Crazy," and "Praise Jam"; the title cut "Believe"; and the inspirational anthem, "My Seat to My Salvation." Most of you know that this business is built on relationships, and Chris has many of them. His cousin is producer L.T. Hutton—known primarily for his hip-hop production (Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg)—who provided Chris with many of the up-tempos songs that lace the album. Other producers include Chris' brother Patrick Bolton, Curtis Dowd (R. Kelly, Joey Elias (K-Ci & Jojo), and a host of others. As with any Gospel artist, hitting the road and touching the people are
paramount. Chris is definitely one the best performers out there. He has
become a regular at House of Blues venues around the country. He has appeared
in David Talbert plays, and most recently appeared on the Bobby Jones
Gospel Show with Tye Tribbett and Smokie Norful as well as numerous other
TV shows, churches and venues around the world. |
