2010 Sentra 2.0 SL

nissan 2010The slogan of the 2010 Sentra 2.0 SL, Sensible, With a Sense of Style, could very well be describing your favorite pair of shoes; but it refers to one of Nissans latest offering. The 2.0 liter 4 cylinder was a welcomed solution in this gas-guzzling age. 26/34 city and highway is very respectable for a non-hybrid. While that may be true, don't let the 4 cylinders fool you into thinking that this pint-sized marvel doesn't have any get-up and go; quite the contrary. For a car this size, 140 hp gets the job done. I have to admit that when I first pressed the pedal I was a bit heavy on my initial take-off; but when my head snapped back from its power, I stood corrected.

The Independent Strut Front Suspension, Torsion Beam Rear Suspension and a standard Traction Control system offers great handling and quite honestly a really cool driving experience. I felt like Mighty Mouse whipping up and down the city streets of Greater Los Angeles. You might have even heard me proclaim, “Here I come to save the day!” in the distance as I passed larger sedans and SUVs filling up…again…at the gas station.

This Sentra was full of so many unexpected surprises beyond the peppy driving experience like the comfy leather-trimmed heated seats and Power Sliding Glass Moon Roof (in the SL trim level); but the standard features where just as impressive. The color display, interface for the iPod and USB connections, Nissan Intelligent Key, Bluetooth, XM Satellite (first 3 months free), suede cloth trim on the seats and the chrome plated accents adds to the snazzy factor of the Sentra.

Nissan has mastered the ABC's of safety with the standard protective and security features of the Sentra. The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) and an impressive Driver and Front Passenger Side-Impact Supplemental Air Bags, Roof Mounted Curtains, Front Seat-Active Head Restraints and the Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) to keep the kiddies safe; the sound part is up to you.
